Get it free: the rules

Last updated 2026-09-14

Buy Clackity for $2, post a video of it in action, hit 10,000 views, and we'll refund your $2. You keep the app either way. Here's exactly how it works.

Who's eligible

  • You must have paid for Clackity yourself, with a real Razorpay purchase — the refund goes back to that same purchase.
  • One refund per purchase. If you buy again on another Mac, that's a separate purchase with its own video and its own 10,000 views.
  • The video must be posted after you bought Clackity, showing the actual app you paid for.

What counts as a qualifying video

  • Clackity clearly visible or audible in use — the menu bar, the settings window, or just the sound while you type is enough.
  • Posted publicly on TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, or X — not a private or friends-only account.
  • Tag @clackityapp in the caption or the video itself so we can find it.
  • Real views from real people. Bought views, bot views, or engagement-pod views disqualify the submission — we check for this before refunding.

How to submit

  1. Once your video passes 10,000 views, email hello@clackity.click with the video link and the email address you used to buy Clackity.
  2. We'll check the view count and confirm your purchase.
  3. If it checks out, we refund the $2 to your original payment method within 48 hours.

A few more things

  • The video needs to stay public and stay above 10,000 views through the review — if it's taken down or view count is reversed before we process the refund, the submission doesn't qualify.
  • We may ask a couple of follow-up questions before refunding — nothing invasive, just enough to confirm the purchase and video are both real.
  • We reserve the right to decline a submission that's clearly gaming the spirit of this (recycled footage, misleading titles, etc.) — used sparingly, and we'll tell you why.
  • This program can change or end at any time for videos posted after the change; it won't be applied retroactively to take away a refund already earned.
